Lisa Pasold

Lisa Pasold has been thrown off a train in Belarus, been fed the world’s best pigeon pie in Marrakech, taken the Lunatic Line in Kenya, and been cheated in the Venetian gambling halls of Ca’ Vendramin Calergi. She grew up in Montreal, which gave her the necessary jaywalking skills to survive as a journalist. She is the author of five books, including the novel Rats of Las Vegas. Her third book of poetry with Frontenac House, Any Bright Horse, was shortlisted for Canada’s prestigious 2012 Governor General’s Award. She creates fictional story-telling walks which focus on little-known urban histories; she has performed these stories from New Orleans to Paris. She is the host of Discovery World’s TV travel show, “Paris Next Stop”. www.lisapasold.com
